The main theme throughout was "you have to pay us". You go to a professional agency with the expectation that they will know how to discover all the information needed prior to selecting you as a match. This was not the case.. It was totally up to us to discover the truth. A simple statement from the social worker during the required interviews regarding the behavior and learning ability from an observational standbpoint, or if our agency(social worker) knew how to ask the right questions would have saved us thousands of dollars. We stated we could not do special needs. It wasnt difficult to tell their were issues and was a special needs case. Be careful before you sign and pay the fees because there is no recourse. It is a messed up system. It does feel like unjust enrichment when an agency does very little.
