We used American Adoptions in 2010. They were absolutely wonderful! They guided us through the whole adoption process- the councilors were great. We were matched with a birth mother 6 weeks after becoming "active". They helped us to get to know our birth mother via phone calls, greated a birth plan so that we knew what to expect at our son's birth, arranged for a lawyer to handle all legal matters in the birth mothers state while we waited for ICPC, and stayed in contact with us through the whole process. Adoption is a daunting and stressful process and American Adoptions made it much easier. We are blessed with a beautiful son and a semi-open relationship with his loving birth mom. It is everything that we wanted this experience to be. I highly recommend this agency to anyone who is thinking of making an adoption plan for their baby or looking to grow their family through adoption. |
