We adopted twice through this agency and they are hands down the most incredible agency!! I love your agency you have helped my family become a FAMILY. Without your wonderful agency and amazing staff I know our experience would never have been what it was.

I sent in the review of "birthmom" well Jane the director wasn't happy with that review and asked me to take it down, since I can't do that, I will add, that yes the adoption agency helped my family out by fixing our car, and helping with bills and things I needed for my daughters. They were there financially, but emotionally they don't really care about your feelings after your baby is placed with the couple you chose. The director fired one of the counselors for pressuring me, and has talked to the other counselor about the way I felt about her. No change with the counselor. I am not going to say this agency is amazing, because MY experience hasn't been, but maybe another birthmom will. I just feel maybe they should care more about what the birthmom is going through and how the counselors are making them feel, maybe they would get a good rating then.

I went through open door and I was pressured by an adoption counselor, had another counselor make me feel bad. like I couldn't count on her to talk to about this. They don't have their stuff together at all. I thankfully love the adoptive parents I chose. But it's been a horrible experience with them.

Two of our three children were adopted through an Open Door Agency. We cannot say enough about how smoothly and professionally our experiences were handled! From the minute we signed on with them, we felt a peace in knowing that we were all working toward the same goal. Their respectfulness toward the birth mothers was especially important to us as well. They are wonderful to work with and have so much experience, which really makes a difference. I would recommend them to any Christian couple looking to adopt

My husband I decided to adopt almost 20 years ago. As most families do, we spent a lot of time researching our options. After much thought and prayer, we decided to work with An Open Door Adoption Agency. We had friends who had adopted with them a year before and they spoke very highly of their adoption journey. The staff and our caseworker were very knowledgeable and caring. The biggest difference we noticed right away was that they seemed to care about us a couple as well as the birth parents and the child that was being placed. We found them to be very honest and we felt like the agency had a lot of integrity. They truly cared about all involved. Adoption was a ministry for them, not a business. God blessed our family with an infant girl in 1993. We had an opportunity to meet both of the birth parents. This was a scary but great experience. Our daughter is now 18 and we are able to share pictures and information with her about them, the circumstances that led them to their adoption decision, and our journey. We were blessed again in 1996 with the adoption of our second daughter who is now fifteen. We worked with An Open Door for our second adoption since our first experience was so positive. We had the chance to meet her birth mother as well. We would highly recommend An Open Door Adoption Agency to any family considering adoption. We have remained in touch with them through the letters and pictures we send to the agency for the birth parents. They continue to be very supportive and interested in our family.

We adopted our son through An Open Door's domestic infant adoption program in 2008. We had previously worked with another agency and had a very negative experience, so we were hesitant to trust Open Door--or any agency--to help us. We found the staff at Open Door to be extremely knowledgeable, dedicated professionals who devoted much personal energy and time to our adoption. At no point did we feel like a number or statistic...we received one-on-one attention and quick responses to our questions. Although there were many other families adopting through Open Door at the same time we were, we were always treated as if we were their only clients. In addition, we were pleased to find that Open Door is very transparent with families. The entire adoption process, including rough timelines and fees were explained to us in detail up front and we never encountered unexpected expenses or delays. We met personally with the staff members who participated in our adoption and we were extremely pleased with everyone we worked with. I would highly recommend this agency to anyone. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
