I am a Family Pastor at a church and have one adopted daughter from China. We started our 2nd adoption and were excited. We have been doing our Homestudy through Faith International and our adoption through another agency, and it has taken over a year and is still incomplete. I have felt deceived as the caseworker has acted like she has been communicating with our adoption agency and after calling today in desperation I found out that she has not been communicating at all to them. They were unaware that we were continuing with our adoption. She has been giving us busy work (writing questions we have already answered in interviews), redoing our medical exams (twice now), redoing background checks (twice now), and she will not return calls or emails. I feel sick right now. We are going to move forward toward our daughter and start our homestudy all over again, but felt other families should be aware of this when they are examining Agencies. |
