| Agency Description | Family & Children Services, Inc. is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of up to 24 representatives equally distributed among the communities served. They reflect their communities’ needs and guide the agency in its varying areas of expertise. They also determine policy and guide the growth and mix of services offered to the community. Board members are elected to serve three-year terms of office, limited to two terms. The agency responds to child victims’ needs by providing play therapy, counseling, supervised visitation, pre-placement assessment, post-placement supervision for direct consent infant adoptions, adoption and post-adoption support for children with specialized needs, pregnancy counseling and most importantly, well-trained foster and adoptive families who help children feel safe and learn to trust, so they can be children. |
