My husband and I would highly recommend Illien Adoptions International. We brought home our son from Ethiopia to the US in Feburary 2011. Our process like many international adoptions had some highs and lows but we felt the staff at Illien was very easy to talk to and kept us informed with any changes in the process. We were impressed that Illiens main goal were the children not the adoption. They loved to help in placing children with their forever family but care about the children and make sure that everything they do is in the best interest of the child and is ethical and is following the US and Ethiopian guidelines. We would recommend this agency to everyone and would use them again if we ever adopt. Unsure about your rating system-if 1 is the best 1 but if 5 is the best 5? Thanks Kim |

I have used Illien twice to adopt my sons from Ethiopia. In both instances, I was extremely happy with my interactions with the agency and the Ethiopian case workers in particular. They listened to our needs and truly cared for the wellbeing of our boys. I believe international adoption is never a smooth journey, and we never expected everything to go perfectly. |
