The department helps provide assessment services as well as recruitment of families for adoption. Placements are made for older, black, racially mixed or for children with emotional and physical handicaps. South Carolina Department of Social Services will also provide help to all families considering adoption and provides post adoptive services to help through this lifelong transition. |
